The Woven Slide is the bestselling sandal of our collection - three years running.
 
The deceptively simple upper is meticulously handwoven by an artisan collective in Medellin, Colombia. Each pair takes 24 hours to make from start to finish - the definition of slow fashion. Over time, the woven leather upper will become extremely soft for worn-in vintage feel. 
 
Our clean-water tanned leather is made in small batches and breaks in beautifully - molding to your foot to create a custom fit.

I love your shoes!

I bought the woven slide a few years ago...they are my favorite so I got a second pair in a different color. I can see the improvements made to the shoes to make them even better and the packaging is better as well. I have my eye on so many pairs to add to my collection. Thank you for making great shoes! My first pair were made in Mexico and are like butter on my feet. My second pair are not. The leather is thicker and creating a rougher finish on the inside. I’m trying to break them in but they hurt and are nothing like the first pair. [The Woven Slide - Miel]

It’s true, we moved our production from Mexico in 2021. We found the Mexico leather was too soft and the shoes stretched a little too much over time. The new leather is a little stiffer at first but it will also be more durable and sturdy over time! To help lessen the break in period of your new pair, we recommend spritzing the upper leather with water just before putting them on. If you do this a few times they will really start to mold to your foot :)
